Faculty and Staff Wellness Program

Faculty & Staff Wellness Program

Public Relations
2020

The Faculty and Staff Wellness Program at Western Washington University provides a variety of activities to get university employees moving. Despite recruitment efforts, the program only reached about 15% of 1,820 permanent employees at WWU. The program specifically struggled to reach faculty, classified staff and employees who have no interest in working out.

During the Winter 2022 quarter, I collaborated with a small team to develop approaches and deliverables that would increase awareness of the programs offerings.

Workday getting you down? Too cramped in that office? Taking an hour out of your day to get active is proven to reduce stress and anxiety, and even improves sleep. W-W-U’s Faculty and Staff Wellness Program offers on-campus fitness classes to get over 500 employees moving every quarter. Not sure about getting active? The program also provides free nutrition consultations and seminars. Make wellness a priority and learn more at W-W-W dot W-W-U dot E-D-U forward slash wellness.

What better way to encourage going out and getting active than showing people you’re just as eager? Check out a promotional Instagram video of me preparing for a jog on one of Bellingham’s trails:

A great campaign is always accompanied by great visuals. These posters, flyers, and handbills were developed for placement at critical staff locations around the campus.
